How every session runs
  • See it

The trainer builds one function step by step on screen, at a pace everyone can follow.

  • Do it

Straight away, everyone applies it in their own worksheet with a related task.

  • Reflect

We look at what worked and clear up questions while they are fresh.

  • Next function

Then we move on. Short loops keep every participant active all session.

What the training covers

Three focus areas, covered in three hours

Every live session works through three focus areas. Within each one, we pick the functions that matter most for your teams from the curriculum below.

Focus area 1

Tables and lists

Your team formats data as tables, sorts and filters with several criteria, lets conditional formatting point out what matters and summarises it with PivotTables.

Focus area 2

Functions

Your team connects lists with XLOOKUP, counts and sums with conditions and builds formulas that colleagues can follow and trust.

Focus area 3

Data visualisation

Your team picks the right chart type and designs clear, meaningful charts that make the message obvious on the next slide.

Copilot in Excel

Add AI to the toolkit with our Copilot in Excel training once the foundations are in place.

Practice, not slides

Corporate Excel training built around your industry

Corporate Excel training is Excel training your company books for its own teams. Ours goes one step further: participants practise with an exercise file from your industry, so the function they learn at ten is the function they use at eleven.

Your industry’s exercise file

Participants receive an exercise file related to your business. All tasks work in their context.

Show, do, reflect

The trainer shows a function, participants apply it right away, we reflect and move on.

One format for every location

Live online sessions for each team, scheduled around their time zone.

Who it is for

Excel training for employees who work with data every day

The training is ideal for teams whose results depend on clean lists, quick analyses and clear reports. Here is what the three focus areas look like in different departments.

Finance and controlling

Summarise costs by cost centre and month with a PivotTable and flag budget overruns automatically.

Trading

Filter positions by several criteria at once and pull current prices into your list with a lookup.

Sales

Rank customers by revenue, look up prices and discounts from the price list and chart the pipeline by region.

Marketing

Compare campaign results in a PivotTable and turn them into one clear chart for the next review.

HR

Keep employee lists as tables, highlight contract end dates automatically and summarise headcount by department.

Logistics

Filter shipments by route, status and date, highlight delays and match order numbers across lists.

FAQ

Questions about our corporate Excel training

What is corporate Excel training?

Corporate Excel training is Excel training that a company books for its own teams. Content, examples and timing are tailored to the company, instead of a public course with participants from many organisations.

What makes this corporate Excel training different?

Every exercise works with data from your industry. Participants receive an exercise file related to your business, so each function is practised in the context they work in every day.

Can you train teams in different countries?

Yes. The training runs live online, so teams in several countries can take part. Each team or region gets its own session at a time that suits its working day.

Which Excel topics does the training cover?

The training covers three focus areas: tables and lists (including PivotTables and Conditional Formatting), functions (including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS and IF) and data visualisation. From the full curriculum we select the topics that fit your teams.

Do you cover XLOOKUP?

Yes. XLOOKUP is part of the lookup block, alongside VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH, including lookups with multiple criteria.

How long is a session?

Three hours. One live session covers all three focus areas with the topics we selected together. A series of sessions covers more of the curriculum.

Can the training also take place onsite?

Yes. We can also run the corporate Excel training at your office, with the same hands-on approach.

Which level is the training for?

We agree the starting level in a short briefing call and adapt the exercises so that both confident users and newer users get real value from the session.

How is the training priced?

We charge per training hour, independent of the number of participants. Live online sessions involve no travel costs. Ask us for a proposal for your teams.

Which Excel version do participants need?

The desktop version of Excel. Microsoft 365 is ideal, because newer functions such as XLOOKUP are only available in recent versions. We check this in the briefing.

In which language is the training held?

In English or German.

Can we add Copilot in Excel?

Yes. If your teams use Microsoft 365 Copilot, we can add a block from our Copilot in Excel training.

How quickly can we start?

Check our available workshop days and pick the dates that suit your teams. We prepare the exercise file in the time before the first session.
