Faster reports, fewer errors, more time for the thinking
Every module ends with something your team uses the next day.
Trust the numbers
Clean an export in minutes and build input sheets that only accept clean data.
Connect instead of copy
Look up and combine data across tables so every report draws on one source.
Show the message
Build charts, pivot tables and a one-page dashboard that management reads in seconds.
Win back time
Automate repetitive steps with macros, shortcuts and AI – every week, from the next report on.
An advanced Google Sheets training built around real work
Short inputs, then straight into the file. Every participant works in a copy of their own.
Hands-on all the way
A new task every few minutes, live in Google Sheets – not slides about Google Sheets.
Realistic data
Practice files with sales, stores and targets that look like everyday reports.
Step by step
Each module builds on the last – from clean data to dashboards to automation.

Data Integrity and Hygiene
Work with large tables safely and turn messy exports into data you can trust.
- Sort by one or several columns, with header rows – and the pitfalls to avoid
- Filter by values, condition and colour; total only the visible rows with SUBTOTAL
- Filter views: personal views that leave colleagues undisturbed, shared via link
- Clean data: trim spaces, split text, fix text-numbers and dates, remove duplicates, find & replace
- Quick summaries: UNIQUE combined with SUMIF and SUMIFS, e.g. sales per store or region
- Data validation: dropdown lists, number and date rules, dependent dropdowns
- Conditional formatting with formulas: gaps between two lists, duplicates, whole rows flagged by one value
Connectivity and Logic
Link data across tables and let formulas turn numbers into decisions.
- Lookups with VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP, with clean error handling via IFERROR
- Connect tables and sheets: pull product, store or region details from a master list
- IF for simple rules, e.g. “on target” or “below target”
- Several conditions with nested IF and IFS, e.g. a traffic-light status
- IF with AND/OR, e.g. flag stores below target in a specific region
- COUNTIF and COUNTIFS: count by one or several criteria
Data Visualisation
Make the message obvious at a glance and build a one-page dashboard.
- The right chart for the question: ranking, trend, share, relationship
- Column, bar, line, pie and combo charts that speak clearly
- Colour and design principles: one highlight colour, grouping, white space, action titles
- Pivot tables: grouping by month and quarter, filters, calculated fields
- Slicers that filter several charts at once
Automation and Efficiency
Hand repetitive work to Google Sheets and use AI as a smart assistant.
- Record a simple macro and run it with a shortcut
- AI in Google Sheets: prompts that work – and how to check what AI suggests
- Productivity tips: keyboard shortcuts, smart fill, paste special, freezing and grouping
- Templates your team reuses every week

Questions about the advanced Google Sheets training
Who is the advanced Google Sheets training for?
For people who already use Google Sheets every day – they know SUM, simple filters and basic formatting – and want to work faster, more accurately and with more confidence.
Online or on site?
Both. Most teams book four live online sessions of 90 minutes each. We also run the modules on site at your offices.
Can we book single modules?
Yes. Each module works on its own; together they build on each other. In a short call we pick the mix that fits your team.
Do you work with our own data?
Every module comes with a practice file built on realistic data. On request we shape the exercises around your typical reports, using anonymised or sample data that looks like yours.
Which languages do you train in?
English and German. If your team needs further languages, tell us in the first call.
What do participants need?
A Google account with access to Google Sheets and, ideally, a second screen. The AI features available depend on your Google Workspace licence – we adapt module 4 to your setup.
Is there a training for beginners?
Yes – our Google Sheets training covers the foundations and staggered programmes for larger teams.
