Inhouse training for client-facing teams

Consulting skills training that turns account managers into trusted partners

Your team knows the numbers and the platforms. In this hands-on training they learn to ask the questions that matter, turn data into a clear recommendation and lead client conversations with confidence – the skills that grow in value as AI takes over routine work.

What changes for your clients

1

Sharper questions

Clients share their business goals, not just their task list.

2

Clear recommendations

The answer comes first, the reasoning follows, the next step is agreed.

3

Confident conversations

Your team steers the agenda, the expectations and the decisions.

What your team can do afterwards

Ready for the next client call – the very next day

Every participant leaves with skills they use in their very next client meeting, and with tools the whole team shares.

Uncover the real goal

Run discovery conversations that reveal what the client is really trying to achieve, and why.

Turn data into advice

Translate reports and dashboards into a recommendation the client understands and acts on.

Lead the conversation

Set the agenda, keep reviews on track and close every meeting with clear next steps.

Bring tough news well

Present weaker results with context, options and a plan, so the client stays with you.

How it works

Consulting skills training, built on how strong advisors work

Three moves make the difference in every client relationship. Your team practises each one until it feels natural.

Ask

Open questions, active listening and the follow-up that gets to the business goal.

Structure

Lead with the answer, back it with three reasons and keep every message easy to follow.

Advise

Recommend a clear course, agree next steps and follow through as a partner.

The three building blocks

From delivering work to shaping the client’s decisions

Discovery conversations

The questions that turn a status call into a strategy conversation.

  • The consulting mindset: goals before tasks
  • Question techniques and active listening
  • Preparing a client meeting in 15 minutes

From data to recommendation

Numbers become a story with a clear point and a clear ask.

  • Answer first, reasoning second
  • One chart, one message
  • A one-page recommendation for every review

Advising with confidence

Conversations that build trust and move the account forward.

  • Steering agendas and expectations
  • Handling pushback and difficult moments
  • Closing with decisions and next steps
Our approach

Practice on real client situations, every hour

Short inputs, then straight into practice. Participants work on their own client situations: they prepare discovery calls, rewrite a recommendation and rehearse the conversations they will have next week.

In the briefing we collect the client situations that matter most to your team, so the training feels like their work – and the results show up in the next client meeting.

1 day

Kick-off

FAQ

Questions about the consulting skills training

Who is this consulting skills training for?

For client-facing teams who want to grow from delivering work to advising clients: account managers, key account and customer success teams, agency teams and internal consultants.

Can we work on our own client situations?

Yes, and we recommend it. In the briefing we collect typical client situations, and participants practise discovery calls, recommendations and reviews on cases that feel like their own work.

Is the training in German or English?

Both. We run the training in German or English, whichever your team works in with its clients.

Where does the training take place?

Inhouse, at your offices or a venue of your choice. Your team learns together and goes back to its desks with a shared approach.

How long is the training?

Most teams choose two days: one for discovery and structure, one for turning data into advice. A one-day kick-off works as a focused start, and a practice day a few weeks later anchors the new habits.

How do we get started?

With a 30-minute briefing call. We agree what success looks like after the training, which client situations matter most, and the format that fits your team.
