Excel Training Dubai · In-Company & Online
Excel that finally works the way your team works.
Practical, English-language Excel training for teams in Dubai — from first formula to advanced modelling. We build the programme around your real files, your reports and your deadlines, and deliver it at your office or live online.
How an in-company training comes together
Four steps, roughly three weeks from first call to training day.
Why teams in Dubai book us
Training built around your files, not a generic curriculum
Most Excel courses teach features. We teach the work — the reports, reconciliations and dashboards your people actually have to deliver on Monday morning.
In Dubai and online
We come to your office anywhere in the UAE, or run the same programme live online for teams split across offices and time zones.
Beginner to advanced
Two clearly separated tracks, so nobody sits through material they already know and nobody gets left behind on day one.
Useful the next morning
Short inputs, long hands-on stretches and real company data. People go back to their desk and use it immediately.
Two tracks
Pick the level — or run both back to back
Many clients book the beginner track for one group and the advanced track for another in the same week. We keep the language, the shortcuts and the file conventions identical across both, so the whole team ends up working the same way.

What we cover
Three areas, assembled to fit your group
This is the full catalogue. In a one-day training we cover a focused selection; over two days we go deep. You tell us the use cases, we tell you honestly what fits in the time.
Data & tables
Getting messy data into shape and finding the answer inside it.
Formulas & functions
The calculations that do the work while you do something else.
Charts & visualisation
Charts that make the point instead of leaving the audience to hunt for it.
- Design principles and techniques that direct your audience's attention
- How to choose the right chart type for your data
- Adapting charts so the message lands immediately
- Building the most common cases: before-and-after comparisons, distributions
- High-impact chart types: bridge charts, Gantt charts, integrated bar charts, dot plots, waterfalls and slope charts
Formats
However it fits your calendar
Groups of 6 to 12 work best — small enough that we can look over every shoulder, large enough to keep the energy up. All sessions are delivered in English.

Founder & CEO, SkillDay
Your Excel trainer is SkillDay founder and CEO Joern Steinz (MBA), a graduate of EADA Business School in Barcelona. He spent years living inside Excel — first as a management consultant at Accenture, then in corporate development at XING AG and Freenet Group. Since 2014 he has been passing on his best Excel techniques in hands-on, genuinely entertaining seminars, and SkillDay has grown into a network of experienced trainers delivering across Europe, the Gulf and online.

Where we deliver
Dubai, the wider Gulf, and anywhere online
We travel to your team. In-company sessions run at your own office, in a hotel meeting room or a co-working space — whatever suits the group. Beyond the Gulf, SkillDay trainings run regularly out of ten European locations.
Good to know
Questions we get asked before booking
How long does an Excel training take?
Most groups book one full day per track. Two days give room to work through the advanced lookup and modelling material properly. Online, we split the same content into four half-day blocks so nobody loses a full working day.
What if our people are at very different levels?
That is the usual situation, and it is exactly why we split into two tracks. Before the training we send a short skills check, then group people accordingly — or run the beginner track in the morning and the advanced track on the following day.
Do you work with our own spreadsheets?
Yes, and we prefer it. Send us two or three typical files in advance and the exercises get rebuilt around them. Participants leave with working versions of their own reports, not a folder of sample data.
Which version of Excel do you teach?
Whatever your team uses. We cover Microsoft 365 and Excel 2019 or later, on Windows and Mac, and we flag where a shortcut or function differs between them.
Is the training delivered in English?
Yes. All sessions in Dubai are held in English. German is available for teams that prefer it.
What happens after the training day?
Everyone gets the exercise files, a cheat sheet of the shortcuts and functions covered, and a follow-up Q&A session a few weeks later — the point at which the real questions usually surface.
