Learn how to use the agile goal management method from the Silicon Valley. In our OKR training you apply best practices to make OKRs work.
About this event
Our live online OKR training is aimed at professionals and managers from all sectors who want to use and implement the most popular agile goal management method from the Silicon Valley in a practical way. Develop new impulses with the help of OKRs and open up additional growth potential in the company. Specifically, it is about the agile handling of objectives based on a vision or strategy in times of change. OKRs can help to steer companies more securely, especially in times of increased uncertainty and volatility.
The aim of this OKR training is to create a basic understanding of these topics and to develop implications for practice. First, the topics of motivation, cooperation and organisational culture are examined in order to create a basis for understanding the behaviour and experience of people in organisations. The next step is to focus on models and challenges of change management in order to better understand which processes play a role in the transformation of working environments. Leadership as a central link in these processes is then discussed and current challenges and new work models are addressed. Finally, we look at the mental stress factors that need to be taken into account and the possibilities for workplace health promotion.
What you will learn
- Introduction to OKRs: method, origin, benefits, examples, cycle, mindset
- Objectives: Identification, selection, formulation (with exercise)
- Key Results: Identification Selection, Formulation (with exercise)
- Best practice OKR examples from the field and concrete implementation strategy (For the introduction of your own OKRs: checklist & guide for breaking down OKRs from company to team level)
The OKR training takes place online. All content is characterised by a close interlocking of practice-oriented conceptual content with practical examples; best practice recommendations and templates for direct application of the learned knowledge. Each topic includes first the teaching of new contents and directly afterwards the application of selected contents, e.g. in small group work.
In addition, the participants are asked to develop a draft OKR set for their company. Here, the lecturer Joern Steinz supports the participants individually with feedback and suggestions for improvement based on his extensive academic and practical experience in OKR introduction and management. The individual and practical project work also represent the direct added value for the participants’ work in their companies, because the rule is: after the course is before the implementation.
