Presentation skills training in Amsterdam: convince in the first two minutes
One day to rebuild your next presentation so that decision-makers know what you want after two minutes and say yes at the end. You work on your own slides, in a group of ten at most. In Amsterdam you work in a group drawn from the Zuidas, the canal-belt agencies and the international organisations of the Randstad, in English throughout.

Why Amsterdam
Amsterdam works in English as a matter of course. Scale-ups on the Zuidas, international headquarters, consultancies and NGOs all present, plan and decide in English every day, often with Dutch directness and a strong instinct for consensus.
This seminar is built for that mix: a small group of ten, your own material, and feedback from people who work in other industries than you do.

The day
Agenda
The day starts at 9:30 at Regus Express inside Amsterdam Centraal with coffee and a short round: what are you working on right now? The answers decide which examples we take apart in the afternoon. Lunch is a two-minute walk away on the station concourse or at the IJ side.
09:30 to 17:00Winning attention
Why the first 120 seconds decide, and three openings that work.
The core message
From topic to message: one sentence the room takes home.
Storylines
Pyramid principle, recommendation tree, five-sentence story, hero's journey, each applied to your example.
Slide design
One message per slide, data as a statement, white space instead of text walls. Rebuilding your own slides.
Practice
Voluntary three-minute presentations with structured feedback from the group.
Transfer
Your plan for the next presentation: the three things you change first.
Take away
What you take away
- Your own presentation, rebuilt during the day

Your trainer
Jörn Steinz (MBA)
Jörn Steinz learned as a consultant at Accenture how decisions are made in organisations, and as a design thinker how groups reach results. Since 2014 he has run SkillDay, a network of around six trainers, and has led more than 1.000 workshops and trainings for corporations, mid-sized companies and public bodies across Europe.
His trainings are small, practical and built for your day-to-day work: you work on your own tasks and go home with results, not with theory.

Yes. Bring a deck that is coming up or one that did not land last time. You work on it all day.
Do I have to present in front of the group?
The short presentations are voluntary. If you want, you get three minutes and structured feedback; most participants take the chance.

How does invoicing work for Dutch companies?

Will the seminar definitely run?
From three paying participants. If we are below that 14 days before the date, we cancel and refund in full.
Can I book the Amsterdam seminar with colleagues?
Yes. From three people from one company, send us a short note and we reserve the seats on one invoice. From six people an inhouse date at your offices in Amsterdam or anywhere in the Netherlands is usually the better option.
