Why Brussels

Brussels is the workshop capital of Europe. EU institutions, associations, NGOs, consultancies and corporate public-affairs teams spend their days in meetings with people from twenty countries, mostly in English, and need sessions that end in a decision.

This training is built for that environment: a small international group, your own upcoming session as the case, and a structure that works whether the room is five people or fifty.

Who joins in Brussels

  • Staff of EU institutions, agencies and permanent representations
  • Policy, communication and project leads in associations and NGOs
  • Consultants and public-affairs teams
  • Participants from Antwerp, Ghent, Luxembourg and Lille

Venue

Regus Brussels Central Station
Rue des Colonies 11, 1000 Brussels

At Bruxelles-Central.

Getting there

The venue is next to Bruxelles-Central, between Grand-Place and the Parc de Bruxelles. The EU quarter is ten minutes by metro; Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven and Lille are under an hour by train, and the Eurostar from London, Paris and Amsterdam stops at Midi.

The day

Agenda

Both days start at 9:30 at Regus Brussels Central Station with coffee and a short round: which workshop do you have to run next? Those sessions become the cases for the two days. Lunch is a short walk away around Grand-Place or the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert.

09:30 to 17:00
1

Where you stand

The sailboat: what drives you, what holds you back. Time thieves sorted into control, influence and let go.

2

Ten impulses

Ten techniques for better time and self-management, each with an exercise on your own calendar.

3

Week and day

Weekly planning with fixed focus blocks, a daily start question, handling shifting priorities.

4

Meetings and mail

How to compress meeting days, get answers from others and use waiting time well.

5

Transfer

Everyone picks two challenges from the sailboat and solves them with the techniques of the day.

Take away

What you take away

  • Your sailboat with winds and anchors
  • The ten impulses as a handout

Questions

Questions about the time management training in Brussels

Is this about tools or behaviour?

Behaviour. The techniques work with Outlook, paper or any to-do app. You cannot manage time, only what you do with it.

Is the seminar suitable for managers?

Yes. Many participants lead teams and bring exactly the issues we cover: days full of meetings, shifting priorities, waiting for others.

How practical is the day?

Every technique is tried on your own calendar. You leave with a planned week, not with a theory.

Where does the training take place?

At Regus Brussels Central Station, Rue des Colonies 11, 1000 Brussels, next to Bruxelles-Central. You receive the exact room with your booking confirmation.

How does invoicing work for Belgian companies and EU bodies?

You can book by invoice. Prices are net; VAT is handled according to the status and location of your organisation. We answer questions on this before you book.

Will the training definitely run?

From three paying participants. If we are below that 14 days before the date, we cancel and refund in full.

Can I book the Brussels training with colleagues?

Yes. From three people from one organisation, send us a short note and we reserve the seats on one invoice. From six people an inhouse date at your offices in Brussels or Luxembourg is usually the better option.
