Ownership & Accountability Training for Leaders and Teams in Europe
No excuses. No blame. Just action.
Through our interactive, high-energy workshop, we build a proactive, ownership-driven mindset to strengthen cross-functional collaboration among your leaders and teams.
What to Expect: Ownership Shift Workshop (2 Hours)
A structured, high-impact format designed to create real behavioral change in a short time.
Participants work on realistic business situations, reflect on behavioral patterns, and define concrete actions to strengthen collaboration and execution.
1. Quick Introduction
Build a Shared Understanding and Common Language for Ownership and Accountability
Participants are introduced to:
- the concept of Extreme Ownership, rooted in leadership principles from U.S. Navy SEAL teams
- the “Above vs. Below the Line” accountability framework, making behaviors visible and discussable
2. Application of Principles and Frameworks
Make Ownership and Proactivity Visible in Real Situations
Participants work in small groups of 5–7 people.
They reflect on:
- where ownership and proactivity already work well (bright spots)
- what is hindering ownership in daily work
- typical situations and obstacles that limit accountability
Using a structured exercise (e.g., Sailboat method), teams identify:
- drivers that move them forward
- barriers that slow them down
3. Commitment & Action Planning
Turn Insights into Ownership-Driven Action
Participants identify the 1–3 most critical factors that hinder ownership and effective collaboration.
Based on this, teams define:
- what they can do differently using an Extreme Ownership mindset
- how to mitigate or eliminate key obstacles
- concrete next steps they can implement immediately
4. Share & Commit
Create Visibility and Collective Ownership
Each team shares their 1–3 key actions to strengthen ownership and accountability.
All actions are captured on a shared wall, creating a visible “gallery” of team commitments.
The group then aligns on the most relevant actions and consolidates them into a shared:
- Ownership & Accountability Manifesto
5. Closing Challenge
Apply Ownership in Action
Participants engage in a short, high-energy team challenge designed to simulate:
- time pressure
- unclear roles
- the need for rapid decision-making
The focus is on observing:
- ownership in action
- collaboration under pressure
- decision-making behavior
Optional Follow-Up (Virtual or On-Site)
Reinforce Ownership in Daily Practice
To sustain the mindset shift beyond the workshop, follow-up sessions can be conducted in smaller groups.
In these sessions, participants:
- reflect on real situations since the workshop
- discuss successes and challenges in applying ownership
- strengthen accountability in their daily work
